“I have always had other health insurance. My kids started with Kaiser Insurance last year and I have to say that I couldn't be more impressed. The employees all seem so happy to work for Kaiser. I just spoke with Jacob Hansen who gave me quotes for my children and myself. Jacob was so patient and informative. I'm going to insure my kids through Kaiser!”

“I went to Santa Clara emergency on Oct. 19 for pain in my left leg and lower back. After 4 hours, during which I was given a cat scan, I was diagnosed as sciatica. The cat scan was totally unnecessary and, I was told, had the effect of 500 chest x-rays. I've had sleepless nights worrying about the harm of all this radiation. I saw my regular doctor later and he diagnosed my illness correctly in two minutes without a bunch of needless testing.”

The first time I was totally given the runaround - and just gave up because I never heard anything back from the first rep. This time I was connected to the person with HONEST answers to my questions, which saved me a lot of time and headaches. Just through this chat I can tell she is a dedicated employee, and she too does not like to be given the shuffle when she’s looking for her own answers and does not allow the consumer to receive the shuffle either. She answered in her own words; nothing of the conversation felt "scripted" - she was genuine in her words. She didn’t just leave me out in the cold. She suggested other roads to look into. “I just spoke with one of your customer service people. I just want to say that she did an excellent job in helping me understand all the terminology and everything about insurance. I really appreciated her patience and her explanations. My daughter got turned down though. That was very disappointing because she is a healthy young woman. She had gone in for poison oak, and Kaiser didn’t approve her because of her potential future susceptibility to poison oak and her BMI being too high. While she’s on the heavier side, her average resting heart rate is 54. When she went into the emergency room, it was down to 48. They said it’s because she’s a swimmer. She just had her appendix out and when they tested her while sleeping her resting heart rate was at 44.”

“I’m excited to find Kaiser’s rates are so low. My Blue Cross renewal premiums jumped significantly. By going with Kaiser Permanente our savings for our four person family will be about $600/mo.”
“My Blue Cross rates went up a lot! Also, if I’d delivered my baby at Kaiser, my cost would have been $600 instead of the $3000 that I paid. I’m quite upset at not having called sooner. The premium savings by switching to Kaiser for my family of 4 is over $200/month.”
